The Party (Part 1)

So, I realized that I don't really talk much about the friends I have besides Kat. I think I briefly talked  about Camilla or Sareena, but no one else. I think I should change that. The way I'm going to do that is by talking about a party I went to last week for my good friend Shreya.
I biked over to the party, as I only live a street away from hers. I would be sleeping over along with 4 other girls. One would come later, but the rest were already there, including my friend Renee, who would leave at 1:00 AM. Shreya was there of course, along with Camilla and two other girls named Mackenzie and Jessica. We exchanged gifts, ate cake, etc,
We drove to the mall a little while later to go to 5 Wits, an interactive adventure-type place. There are three adventures you can do; Tomb, Deep Space, and Drago's Castle. We started off with Deep Space, where we were immediately put in a tiny room where we couldn't see the door. That was absolutely terrifying. But the room opened up soon after, so it was cool. We failed a couple of the challenges, such as dodging asteroids and fixing fuel rods, but we completed the main goal of keeping the AI from destroying humanity. Even though we got our lowest score of 88, it was definitely our favorite.
We then did Drago's Castle, which I had done twice beforehand. I didn't take control or anything though. I actually forgot how to do most of the challenges due to my awful memory. We got to the second room, where the throne is supposed to move, revealing a tunnel where we would get to the last room. However, the party in front of us was taking way to long, so we had to wait. Once the tunnel was opened, I crawled in and hid in a corner to scare my claustrophobic friends. Shreya screamed so loud, I actually got scared. We finished with a score of 90, which was quite decent.
The next one was Tomb, which my friends were terrified of. In the beginning, there was a projection of a zombie-like pharaoh telling us how to complete the challenges. While my friends cowered in fear, Camilla and I competed to see who could jump high enough to touch the projection. The next room was definitely the scariest, as the roof would drop whenever a wrong move was made. We got out of that soon, and we were able to finish the adventure with an amazing score of 98.
We spent the next 40 minutes walking around the mall, getting smoothies, and looking at makeup that none of us could afford. Then, we picked up pizza and went home, where we spent the next 15 hours of the party. Of course, 15 hours would be way too much to write here, so I'll have to make a part 2! Yay, work for me to do tomorrow.

The Rock On The Sidewalk

Yes. It happened. I finally ran out of ideas. Spring break just finished (by just I mean about a week ago), But I really don't remember anything that happened. I had a couple more sleepovers with Kat and one with my friend Camilla, but that's about it. Now, this post isn't really what the title states. I'm not just going to describe a random rock I found on the road. That wouldn't be entertaining. Instead, I'm going to talk about those weird habits we all do without noticing, starting with the rock on the sidewalk.
Have you ever just been walking home from school or just taking a walk or something and decide to just kick a rock around? No reason, just you see a rock and kick it. Then it flies off of your path and you're too lazy to go grab it so you just walk away? I do it all the time without even realizing. Most of the people I know do too. I like to believe I have some sort of mysterious urge to kick things, but my brain is like "No Emilia. Don't kick things," so it just pushes the urge back. So then I see a rock and my brain is like "Yo that's not alive so you can kick it," and then it allows the urge to come back so it can release all it's anger onto the rock. Or maybe it's just fun.
Another totally random thing people do is click pens, which is oddly fun to do. I'm aware it's considered fidgeting and I'm guessing the rock is fidgeting too, but isn't it just weird how we feel like we need to do things like that? Well anyway, clicking pens is fun. But once it's not you doing it, holy crow it's annoying. You're just focusing on the teacher, minding your own business, when you just hear click click click click behind you, and suddenly that calmness you were feeling turns into an uncontrollable urge to punch whoever's making that god awful noise. But then once it's you, you barely notice you're doing it at all. Strange.
Here is one that not many people do, but I do a lot. And I mean a lot. So I'm just minding my own business again. Just mentally socked the pen-clicker in the face a couple times. I'm feeling good. And then I start unknowingly rubbing the side of the desk. Ok now hear me out. Pen-clicking and rock-kicking (hey that rhymes) are fun and all, but it just feels so good to rub a cool, smooth surface. Especially when it's been a really long day and your hands are hot and sweaty and you just slam your hands on the counter top. I thought it was just me for a while, but then I got a fidget cube in the mail, and there is a side specifically for that. So I'm not insane.
So this was my rock post. Been joking about it for, what, two posts? But guess what I actually made one. And it was disappointing because I didn't actually go out and find a rock and describe it. Well I didn't want to do that because I'd run out of ideas three sentences in. Also my teachers probably wouldn't appreciate if I actually did that. But mostly the sentences thing. Well I'm running out of in-class blog time so I'm gonna have to wrap this up. Don't do drugs and stay in school, kids. Also don't cut down icicles bigger than your leg. I learned that the hard way.

Another Sleepover With Kat (Part 2)

Hello again! So a couple weeks ago I wrote about a sleepover I had with my best friend Kat. I never finished it, so that's what I'm doing right now! I'd also like to add that since then, I've had two other sleepovers. One with Kat, one with my friends Shreya, Camilla, and Savannah. Of course, Shreya didn't stay overnight. She had to leave for something at around 11:00. Well, anyway, this is the rest of the sleepover.
Ok so after our little "argument" we went back upstairs with our hot chocolates. She had called her boyfriend, Harrison, so we talked with him for a while. We actually played the Oregon Trail card game right after we went upstairs, so my timeline was a bit messed up in the last post. Anyway, after Harrison hung up, we decided to watch some of those Try Not To Laugh videos. Needless to say we laughed. A lot. But only at a select few videos. Most of the Try Not To Laugh videos are about as funny as a rock on the sidewalk. Which I'm still up for writing about if anyone wants me too.
We fell asleep soon enough. It was actually kind of early when we did, but we were tired from all the exorcisms and hot chocolate. When we woke up, we ate breakfast. Yes I know such fun right. Well the best part is when we got some speakers and plugged them into my computer. So the only thing left to do was to blast 90's and early 2ooo's music throughout the house. It was fun. Sometimes we even play some of those songs at random times for fun (or to annoy the other person if you're Kat. Seriously she won't stop. Send help.)
Now I'm going to end this here. It's not that I"m lazy and don't want to write about anything anymore. It's that I completely forgot what happened after that. My memory is works about as well as a mesh soup spoon. Wanted to say something else but my mother's probably reading this so... spoons. Well bye then.

Another Sleepover With Kat

So you can tell by the title that I had another sleepover with Kat. I mean we're best friends so is it really that much of a surprise? We've actually had two or three since my last post about it, but that's besides the point. This one is about the most recent one. The one we had last Thursday.
The two days before Thursday (which are Tuesday and Wednesday if you missed the two hundred days of kindergarten where we learned about the days of the week), we're snow days. We got, like, two feet of snow. It was basically a blizzard. There's still a ton of snow outside as I'm typing this actually. Well, anyway, the days before were snow days, which were fun for me but not for Kat as it was "her week". So she was already having a bad couple of days. The entire time she was just waiting for the day we would finally get together. She also had a really bad day on Thursday too but I'm certain she wouldn't like me to talk about it.
So we got off the bus after school on Thursday. She had to go to Tae Kwon Do that day and I had to go to a chorus thing at Flight, so we went our separate ways. When I went home, I realized not many of my friends would be at Flight. I'm an extremely awkward person so I just stayed home, which meant Kat could come an hour early.
We immediately searched for a horror movie to watch. We narrowed it down to Unfriended and Don't Breathe, Unfortunately we never got to watch either one due to a situation with the ghost in my house that wanders around the hallways. I'm not kidding. It's terrifying. My Grandma won't go in my room anymore because of it. Well anyway we ended up playing an Oregon Trail card game. I ended up dying ten minutes in and she didn't last very long after. We also went down to get hot chocolate and got into a little argument over a joke I had told her a week ago. Long story short she owes me $5.
Okay it's pretty late right now and I just finished three full pages of writing so I'm just going to end this post here. I'll write a part two next week. It gives me a good topic so I don't have to write about a rock I saw on the pavement. Unless you want me to.

Twenty One Disappointments

So a few weeks ago, my friend Kat and I were supposed to go to a twenty øne piløts concert, We have been big fans of TØP for a long while and we were extremely excited to get to see them preform in concert. Our mothers got the tickets for us on Christmas because of a couple of events that had happened prior that neither of us like to talk about. So we had around a month to talk about it and get ready before the actual thing. We bought shirts, memorized the songs, and we even had matching necklaces. Then, on the day of the concert, it all went to heck.
It started when I woke up and my mother showed me a text from Kat's mother. She was sick. At the time, there was a stomach bug going around and all of my siblings caught it. I thought that I had had it the week before and that I had given it to Kat. Mine wasn't that bad, so I assumed she'd be able to go to the concert. I got dressed and went to school.
Halfway to the bus stop, my stomach started to hurt really badly. Like extremely badly. The only way I could describe it was like a million little parasites were trying to eat their way through my intestines. I didn't think much of it and kept walking. But the stomachache continued throughout homeroom and into Spanish, where my teacher even sent me to the nurse because of how awful I looked. It cooled down a bit in science, but started up again in tutorial. Eventually, my even my friends were pushing me to go to the nurse. So I did, and I went home. And long story short, we didn't get to go to the concert.
